Dr. Xiaoyu LI is Assistant Professor of Shenzhen Peacock Project C, Master Supervisor, School of Architecture & Urban Planning, Shenzhen University. LI formally joined the Faculty of Benyuan team in SAUP of SZU in 2022, teaching courses in architectural design and theory and performing daily administrative work of Benyuan Research Center.

LI has played an essential role in the field of aesthetics of building services, intelligent architecture and urban design of Benyuan team. His research and scholarship have focused on the areas of modern architecture and critical theory as well as theoretical issues in contemporary Chinese practices. He has published several academic works in form of books and papers regarding on critical thinking. 

Before joining SAUP, LI engaged in a wide range of project and research opportunities at Meng Architects, and has gained extensive experience in large-scale public buildings and practiced in various countries around the world. LI received the Bachelor of Architecture degree from Hunan University and Tunghai University in 2012. From Syracuse he received the Master of Architecture degree in Advanced Studies in 2016, and then from Southeast University received the Ph.D. in Architectural Design and Theory in 2021.
